Sr. Project Manager (Infosec & Infrastructure) – Contract or CTP – Plantation, FL – $70.00-$75.00/hr.

Our client is seeking a Sr. Project Manager (Infosec & Infrastructure) in Plantation, FL.

Role Description

• This role is responsible for maximizing business value by optimizing the delivery of either individual projects or project portfolios within a given tech stack, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
•Project Intake & Governance: Partner with PMO leadership to drive data-driven portfolio decisions, establishing rigorous go/no-go criteria that align investment with business strategy.
•Prioritization & Optimization: Evaluate project value to prioritize and allocate resources effectively, ensuring work begins at the optimal time.
•Resource Capacity Planning: Assess resource utilization against available capacity and allocate resources accordingly.
•Portfolio Intelligence: transform raw project data into actionable insights for executive leadership, providing transparency into portfolio health, value realization, and strategic alignment.
• Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, translating them into clear, actionable user stories.
•Backlog Management: Assist the Product Owner in managing and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined, appropriately sized, and ready for development.
•Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a bridge between the development team and business stakeholders, clarifying requirements and fostering a shared understanding of project goals and scope.
•Documentation: Create and maintain essential documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
•Servant-Leadership & Coaching: Coach and mentor the development team on agile principles and Scrum practices, promoting self-organization and cross-functionality increasing velocity, quality, and predictability.
•Impediment Removal: Proactively identify, track, and help the team remove roadblocks and impediments.
•Continuous Improvement: Guide the team in process improvement through retrospectives and by fostering a collaborative culture.
•Documentation: Document lessons learned and conduct post-project evaluations.
Technical & Strategic Acumen
•Technical Understanding: Familiarity with enterprise platforms, including the ability to oversee related projects. Understand software development lifecycles (SDLC) and comfortably collaborate with engineers on technical requirements.
• Emerging Technologies: Maintain a general awareness of emerging technologies such as Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Robotics.
• Risk Mitigation & Governance: Proactively assess project risks and apply industry-standard information security program frameworks to safeguard the integrity of outcomes, supporting governance structures that authorize projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Cross-Functional Orchestration: Coordinate the efforts of internal IT teams, third-party contractors, and security consultants to deliver complex security programs without disrupting business operations.
• Resource & Portfolio Optimization: Masterfully allocate resources and optimize project portfolios to maximize risk-adjusted value, ensuring the right security initiatives are prioritized and staffed effectively.
•Technical Authority: Apply your robust background in project management and information security (CISSP highly desirable) to translate complex security needs into actionable, executed project plans.
• Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) is highly preferred; ITIL Foundations or higher is recommended given the ITSM focus. While not required, any technical certifications – e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, Google, AWS – would be a plus.
• Methodological Flexibility: Proficiency in Waterfall (often used for construction) and Agile/Scrum (for technology innovation and software-centric tasks).

Skills & Requirements

• 10+ years of experience, specifically leading IT project portfolios
• PMP certification required. Additional certifications such as CSM (Certified Scrum Master), ITIL, or equivalent are strongly encouraged
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Management, or related Technical field.
• Jira, Confluence and Smartsheet required.
• Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear business narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, high-risk IT programs on time and within scope and budget.
• Proven analytical, problem-solving, decision making, and prioritization skills
• Able to contribute to the big picture, conceptualize outcomes, and identify trends
• Leverages business and technical expertise across disciplines, demonstrating a high level of industry knowledge
• Possess high-level knowledge and proficiency in Resource Management practices and Change Management techniques
